We have had a bit of a revolving door here at our home. We have enjoyed a lot of family time and it hasn't left much time to sew. I whipped these up on day that they needed to be finished for the guild. I am hoping to have more time this next week to do some sewing and work on my portfolio. I am absolutely LOVING this stage! Before I started the Immersion course I had dabbled in illustrator and I was trying to move towards fabric design; I even had an idea in mind for a collection. When I started brainstorming this week, I honestly thought I would use a different subject matter for my collection, but as I focused towards a common theme I realized that my original idea was a perfect place for me to begin creating my portfolio. I feel like there have been a million and one moments building up to this point with possibilities just coming to light. Now my heart and sketch book are exploding together, and it's such a wonderful experience! #sketching #surfacepatterndesign #fabricdesign #creativeprocess #mrshomefront
